By placing an order or creating an account on this site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
What we sell
We sell single-purchase vehicle history reports keyed to a 17-character Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). Each report is delivered as a PDF that you can view in-browser, download, or email to yourself. We are an independent reseller and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Carfax, Inc. or any other vehicle history brand.
Accuracy and limitations
Reports compile data from authorized public-records sources and our licensed data partner. We do not guarantee completeness or accuracy and we disclaim warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law. A vehicle history report is one input, never a substitute for an in-person inspection by a qualified mechanic.
Payment, currency and taxes
Prices are shown and charged in U.S. dollars (USD); the price you see when you submit checkout is the price you pay. Where U.S. state or local sales tax applies to a digital good in your jurisdiction, it is added at checkout and itemized on the receipt. Reports purchased on dealsoncarfax.com are covered by the 30-day money-back guarantee described in our Refund Policy. If report delivery is delayed, your paid order remains active while we retry retrieval. Contact support for unresolved delivery or billing concerns (see Refund Policy).
Accounts
Accounts are optional. You can buy a single report as a guest with just an email address. When you want an account we sign you in with a one-time magic link emailed to that address, we do not store a password, because there is no password, and we email a link only when you request one.
Acceptable use
Don't resell our reports. Don't scrape or automate against the site. Don't use the service to harass, defraud, or violate the rights of any vehicle owner whose record appears in a report. The data product is licensed for vehicles registered or sold in the United States; it is not licensed for use against foreign-jurisdiction vehicles. Use of the data is subject to the federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act (DPPA) and equivalent state law, you represent that your use is for a permissible purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid for the specific report at issue, or fifty U.S. dollars ($50 USD), whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, except where mandatory consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your own state of residence.
