Compare two cars using your annual driving, expected fuel or electricity prices, and efficiency estimates. See energy costs—not a prediction of total ownership costs.

MPG uses US gallons, not imperial gallons or MPGe. Battery-electric mode needs kWh per 100 miles or 100 km. This is not a mixed-mode plug-in-hybrid calculator. Prices, weather, route, driving style and charging can change actual costs.
Compare your assumed energy costs.
Purchase price, financing, insurance, repairs, maintenance, depreciation, charger installation, parking and charging-session fees are excluded. Multi-year projections hold distance, efficiency and energy price constant. Monthly values are annual averages, not seasonal bills.

Where should I get efficiency numbers?
Use comparable measured consumption for your driving, or official economy figures as a starting point. Official ratings are not a guarantee. FuelEconomy.gov offers US vehicle ratings; electric consumption must use energy units rather than MPGe in this calculator.
Can one car use gasoline and the other electricity?
Yes. Give each car its own energy type, price and units. Enter a suitable electricity rate and account for charging overhead only when it is not already in your consumption figure. A plug-in hybrid needs an electric/liquid driving split, which this tool does not model.
Are prices or vehicle specifications fetched?
No. You enter all inputs. No VIN, account or live price service is required. Switching energy type clears the price and efficiency values to avoid reusing the wrong units.
